OFF GRID is a creative project by Canadian writer and author, Trina Moyles, about making sense of living/travelling/writing at the margins of physical, emotional, social, and artistic landscapes.
It’s a travelogue about losing and locating oneself in remote spaces and places (geographical and metaphysical), relationships, memories, desires, and ideologies.
Moyles writes about her far flung memories of surfing in Haida Gwaii to living in southwest Uganda to manning a fire tower in the boreal forest of northern Alberta.
OFF GRID experiments with genre by blending personal essay with journalism, poetry, and photography to explore themes of geography, people, and travel.
